Mini-Mjolnir: Electro-etched Blacksmithing Hammer

THIS IS A TWO DAY CLASS SATURDAY 12-3 and SUNDAY 12-COMPLETION

Remake and decorate your own blacksmithing hammer using the awesome power of laser cutters and electro-etching.
In this class we will learn all about the different types of hammers, their specific uses, their maintenance, and repair. You will also learn the art of electro-etching metal as you electro-etch a cool design onto the head of your hammer.
On day one, we will dress the faces of your hammer to prepare them for blacksmithing, regrind the bodies, and prepare the artwork and masking for etching them on day 2.

On day 2 we will use the laser and electricity to engrave them with bold designs WORTHY of such a useful tool. Then we will re-attach our handles and shine and detail our hammers.

We will have several designs of hammers to choose from.
Students can personalize their hammer etching designs.

Suggested age range: 18 and older
Outside food and drink welcome for the short intermission we will be taking during this class.
