Blacksmith jewelry – Barrettes and Blanket Pins

In this introductory class, we will be learning to draw out, taper, twist, and scroll steel to create useful and beautiful steel accessories. Explore the basics of blacksmithing and get practice with hammer and tongs and bending tools.

Students may choose to either make a two piece barrette or a "blanket-pin" or "Cloak pin" which can be used to fasten an actual cloak or turn any blanket into an instant campfire cloak.
