Most businesses would turn away such inquiries, but makerspaces are different from most businesses.
Creating a Makerspace or Hackerspace that meets the needs of your specific community is a complex problem. We have the experience to help you make the best makerspace possible, from consulting with members of your community, to selecting technology for your makerspace, to training staff members and helping you find solutions to common problems.
Because consulting with new makerspaces takes a significant amount of time that would otherwise be spent serving the needs of the users of our own space, we typically charge $100 for an initial consultation. Other consulting services are available on an hourly basis as you progress with your endeavor.
We are also involved in organizing mid-west makerspaces into a larger organization.
The Midwest Makerspace Council is being formed now and we are looking for owners and operators of mid-west spaces to join our growing board of directors.
If you are interested in getting our assistance with your space, or joining in our efforts on the Makerspace Council, please contact Dave Dalton at Hammerspace for details.
