Beginning this Wednesday, January 8th, HammerSpace will be offering the much anticipated weekly welding classes, open to both members AND non-members. For those of you who have been eager to use the welding equipment at HammerSpace, but need help getting started, these are the classes for you! January 8th, 6-8pm: Introductory Class
Welding for Everyone FREE LECTURE
Come and absorb the wisdom of an experienced Welding instructor who will
teach you all about the various welding tools and methods at your
disposal, as well as the usual safety instruction. This is an
introductory class to pre-train you for the hands-on classes in the
coming weeks.
January 15th, 6-8pm: Art Welding
This week we will be doing some art welding and assembling junk into small sculptures.
Build a junk-bot, or a piece of modern art, or anything else you see hidden in the junk.
All materials are provided.
This class or the technical welding class are requisite for using the welders unattended.
Price: $45/non-members, $40/member
January 22nd, 6-8pm: Technical Welding
In this class our instructor will cover basic welding for construction. A variety of useful welding methods will be demonstrated and then repeated by the students.
We will be assembling some useful brackets or bookends from sheet stock and plasma cut parts.
