Tuesday, July 22nd, 6 :30pm:
Metal Stamping & Textured Pendants
This class will teach you about basic
hand tools, their usage and safety, and jewelry making techniques in
order to create your very own individualized pendants for yourself or
for great gifts to friends and family!
You will learn: letter stamping, decorative wire stamping, hammer
texturing, drilling holes and basic finishing techniques (filing,
sanding and polishing). During the class, you will have time to practice
and make 2 pendants.
Ages: 10 & up
Cost: $30 per person
(includes practice metal & 2 blank metal charms (in Sterling Silver,
Copper and/or Brass).
Instructor: Sydney Pener (a local metalsmith artist and professor)
Optional - Additional metal blank charms and chains are available for
purchase from instructor ranging from $5 to $15 each.

Silversmithing For Beginners: Make a Silver Ring
This is one of our most popular classes,
and is a wonderful introduction to silversmithing and jewelry-making!
Learn to form & solder silver into a simple band ring using jewelers
tools and torches. Learn how to size a ring and how to finish and
polish silver. This class is designed to be an introduction to
silversmithing. Everyone in the class will make a silver ring in a
single sitting, and will learn the basics of soldering with a torch.
For Ages: 12-112 years old
Cost: $25/person
(Larger silver stock will be available for purchase if you wish to make a
heavier ring)
